Board & Train
Our board and train program creates dramatic and lasting changes in the behavior of our clients’ dogs. We know that being away from your pup can both create anxiety or elation! However, Board & Train programs (BNT) offer you and your dog the highest rate of success. We believe the longer you can stand to let us train your pup, the better and more stable your dog will return home! That is why we offer each client two time options for consideration. We offer 2 and 3 week programs. Our 3 week BNT is our most requested program. Longer programs are customizable if your dog is assessed to need them. Our board and train programs are a comprehensive behavior modification experience proven to transform your dog from a stressor to a companion.
(Small breed dogs and or pups with high anxiety do not do well in a BNT environment in our experience and should be considered for private lessons with their handler)
What You Can Expect:
We will listen and understand your goals and the issues that you currently face with your dog.
We will develop a set of goals for the training and outline a system for achieving them.
Your dog will be boarded in our facility for a 2 or 3 week period
Your dog will be fed and cared for as if they were our own (owner to provide food)
Your dog will learn and obey the “Basic Commands” which include:
Sit - Upon hearing this command your dog will sit
Wait - Upon hearing this command your dog will stay in the requested position until released
Down - Upon hearing this command your dog will get down into a prone position on the floor or object
Come - Upon hearing this command your dog will come to you
Heel - Upon hearing this your dog will (on-leash only) walk beside you with his/her shoulder in line with your leg in a relaxed position
Place - Upon hearing this command your dog will go to any raised object with definable boundaries (cot, bench, rock, etc.) that you point too and remain there until released
Reasonable and normal behavioral issues will be addressed and corrected
You will be given a comprehensive 2-hour training in how to utilize the basic commands that your dog has learned
You will receive text and video updates during the entirety of your dog’s stay allowing you to follow their progress
You will be given the training and tools needed to become a commanding presence for your dog.
2 Week Board & Train - $2,500
3 Week Board & Train - $3,500
2 Hour Training Session
2 hour training session at your home or at our Palestine, TX facility. If our Board & Train program is not for you, then we recommend our private lesson options. We love this option because it allows for hands-on learning with a trainer. You will watch and participate in the training of your dog as well as take ownership your dog’s success.
While this may not be for everyone, we have seen lots of success utilizing these trainings with owners who like to take an active role in the training process. You will learn science backed techniques that build your dog’s confidence and develop happy, emotionally stable, and well mannered dogs of all ages.
